Micah Miller

Micah Miller was a Black American student from North Carolina. He was the youngest child of civil-rights attorney Darius “DJ” Miller and public-relations professional Cassidy Miller, after Jordan and Leah.

Early Life and Family

Micah was born around 2013 in North Carolina and grew up there with his parents and older siblings. Jordan was about eight years older than Micah, and Leah about four years older. Micah sometimes felt left out when their conversations and experiences were too far ahead of his own, though being the youngest also gave him more room for mistakes and play than Jordan and Leah had at the same age. His extended family included his aunt Julia Weston, uncle Nathan Weston, and cousin Logan Weston.

At twelve in 2025, Micah attended middle school. He was sweet and mischievous, affectionate toward his family and willing to test a rule for a laugh. He had learned to read when his parents would allow some latitude and when he needed to stop. His parents’ work was part of his daily life: he heard family conversations about racism, justice, and community responsibility while forming his own understanding of them.

June 2025 Graduation Visit

At age twelve, Micah traveled with his family to Baltimore for Jacob Keller and Logan’s June 2025 graduation. He and Leah were supposed to set the table before breakfast but kept stealing bacon instead. When DJ introduced them as “those two delinquents,” Micah grinned without apology. Even after sitting down, he kept looking toward the bacon platter.

December 2025 Family Crisis

After Logan’s December 2025 accident, Micah saw Cassidy use her communications work to organize the #LightForLogan campaign. He returned to North Carolina with her and his siblings while DJ remained in Baltimore to help the Westons.
